A genuine Pacific Northwest lodge: full log walls, three stories of them, a stone chimney running up the outside and covered decks wrapping most of the way around. It is the largest log cabin you can rent on Orcas and it does not look like anything else on the island.
Photographs undersell it, which is an awkward admission for a page made of photographs. The scale is the part that will not come through - the beams overhead, the height of the great room, the way the whole thing is put together. That is genuinely what the tour is for.
