Covered porches and open decks circle the lodge, so there is always one in the sun and one out of the wind. The westerly side looks across Eastsound and the Gulf Islands, and that is reliably where everybody ends up at about seven in the evening.
There is a gas BBQ on the covered porch, an outdoor dining table, and a hammock for whichever member of the party regards hammocking as a full-day activity.
